Laura Cristinoiu
Founder & Artistic Director
Laura Cristinoiu is an award-winning creative entrepreneur, choreographic producer, and pedagogical expert whose career seamlessly bridges high-level stage artistry with forward-thinking business strategy. As the visionary behind Attitude Ballet Studios—named Ballet School of the Year by the UK Prestige Awards—Laura has spent over 15 years transforming the traditional landscape of adult and professional dance education into a dynamic, project-based enterprise
THE ARTISTIC ORIGINS
Laura’s foundational discipline was forged at the elite Floria Capsali Choreography High School and the prestigious National University of Theatre and Cinematography (UNATC) in Bucharest. Her technical precision and artistic depth led her directly to the stage of the National Opera Bucharest (ONB), where she performed as a professional ballet dancer from 2006 to 2011. This rigorous immersion in the classical masterworks provided the blueprint for her future ventures: an uncompromising dedication to technique, spatial awareness, and theatrical storytelling.
ENTERPRISE & EXPANSION
Driven by a strategic design brain and an inherent desire to innovate, Laura transitioned from center stage to business ownership in 2011, founding her first iteration of Attitude Ballet in Bucharest, which scaled to sustain an annual enrollment of over 150 dancers. In 2019, she expanded her footprint to the cultural heart of Europe, pioneering Attitude Ballet Studios Vienna. Under her leadership, the Vienna studio evolved from a local training space into an international hub, most notably through the creation of the Vienna International Ballet Intensive (VIBI). Through VIBI, Laura orchestrates world-class partnerships, bringing elite principal soloists from the Wiener Staatsoper and legendary international faculty directly to her students.
FULL-CYCLE PRODUCTION & LEADERSHIP
Laura’s capabilities extend far beyond the studio mirror. She is a full-cycle producer who handles the creative direction, budgetary logistics, original choreographic adaptations, and complete handmade costume production for massive multi-act ballets, including acclaimed restagings of The Nutcracker, Paquita, and Don Quixote.
Her dedication to advancing dance pedagogy led her to serve as the primary Austrian representative for the international Erasmus+ project (Teachers for SwanZ) between 2020 and 2022. In this role, she co-authored a definitive, internationally published Manual on Teaching Ballet and Dance Technique, personalising and standardising master methodologies for over 40 global dance educators.
THE PEDAGOGICAL PHILOSOPHY
Specialising strictly in the rigorous Vaganova method, Laura’s teaching philosophy strips away the noise of casual instruction. She combines meticulous anatomical alignment with an empowering, high-vibe psychological approach. Laura pushes her dancers past their perceived limitations, fostering the profound physical and mental confidence required to transition seamlessly from foundational barres to full-scale stage productions.
